Powerful dark fruit flavours are overwritten with a touch of dark chocolate and a
distinctive earthy character. This is a full-bodied wine, perfectly suited to
barbecues and robust meat dishes

A great value for money blend of Syrah, Mourvedre and Tannat. This has luscious
fruit, with a hint of pepper, and a subtle suggestion of oak. Fantastic with pork,
or any other meat dishes.
Shiraz/Mourvedre 2009,Tormentoso, Paarl £122.52 per case
Intense, concentrated Shiraz, with subtle spicyness, and a touch of leather.
Soft fruit is balanced by velvety smooth tannins, and the judicious addition of
Mourvedre adds complexity and length.
Merlot 2007, Villiera, Stellenbosch £123.35 per case
Spice and smoke character over opulent fruit. 30% new oak adds depth
and complexity to the opulent fruit. Understated and classy.
Merlot, 2009, Rust en Vrede, Stellenbosch £133.40 per case SOLD OUT
A celebration of fruit. Plums and soft berry fruit. Soft and smooth, but with backbone
provided by ripe tannins and judicious oaking.
Pinot Noir 2008, Paul Cluver, Elgin £149.85 per case
Classy Pinot Noir, with vibrant fruit, silky tannins and a hint of dark cherry. This is still
in its fruity stage, but will develop secondary earthy characters over the next 5 years.
Merlot 2007, Martin Meinert, Stellenbosch £162.90 per case
This is a medium bodied Merlot, plummy, with a suggestion of cinnamon.
The judicious addition of Cabernet Sauvignon adds structure and elegance.
Matured in old oak, which rounds out the wine without adding
perceptable wood character.
Shiraz, 2005, Thelema Mountain Vineyard, Stellenbosch £182.35 per case
Attractive Syrah, with black pepper and coffee tones over brambly fruit and a
hint of oak. Drinking beautifully now, but will keep a further 5 years.
Cabernet Sauvignon, 2006, Rust en Vrede, Stellenbosch £202.10 per case
Classic, cedar spiced Cabernet. Plummy fruit and cherries, with firm tannins that
make this a very serious wine. Very structured, this will improve over the next
5 to 10 years.
